It feels like a ridiculous amount of music came out in 2018. It’s been a year chock full of high profile releases, incarcerations, controversies, unexpected deaths, and way too much Yandi. Last December my regular rotation included No Dope On Sundays and Big Fish Theory. Let’s take a look at what’s happened since…

The year started with Kanye West on hiatus from social media and Meek Mill in jail. By April Kendrick had won the Pulitzer and Meek was released to an awaiting helicopter. Soon Brockhampton frontman and founder Ameer was out due to credible sexual assault allegations and Lil Kim was filing for bankruptcy.  XXXtentacion was murdered in June. Mac Miller overdosed in September. Tragic on all sides. Somewhere in there Lil Xan overdosed on Cheetos; potentially in reaction to no longer dating Miley Cyrus’ sister.

It’s been a busy year. 

So here is a big list of all the albums that came out that I actually bothered to listen to in 2018. I undoubtably skipped some essential shit – and I know for a fact I listened to some garbage…but it what it is and here’s the list:
